Former FDA Chief Says Social Distancing Mandate ‘Wasn’t Based on Clear Science’

“Former Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Scott Gottlieb said that the six-foot social distancing mandate that was employed across much of the United States and the world to deal with the CCP virus pandemic “wasn’t based on clear science.”

“This six-foot distancing requirement has probably been the single costliest mitigation tactic that we’ve employed in response to COVID…and it really wasn’t based on clear science. We should have re-adjudicated this much earlier,” he said in an interview with CNBC…”

There were not, in fact, any studies, scientific or otherwise, which established a minimum safe distance for the Wuhan virus, as evidenced by the CDC’s recent reduction in the sacred social distance from six to three feet for school children, who were never in any danger to begin with.  BTW, Gottlieb is the same “expert” who a month ago stated The Groper should take credit for accelerating vaccine production, so you know he’s just another Socialist Swamp mouthpiece.

Baghdad Bob at the Southern Border

““There is absolutely no immigration crisis on the southern border.” That’s the repeated message from the Biden administration. It simply isn’t true.

Our leaders are telling Americans to ignore the overcrowded immigrant centers and caravans on the way. Don’t look at unaccompanied minors, arriving in record numbers. Those are mere “challenges.” Want to see for yourself? Sorry, no can do. The administration has blocked journalists from inspecting immigration facilities or accompanying the Border Patrol on their rounds. This is not the way to discuss democratic choices. It’s the way to grow mushrooms.

The media blackout and litany of false statements are reminiscent of the most dazzling press spokesman of modern times, “Baghdad Bob.” The mouthpiece for Saddam Hussein during the Iraq War famously told the world press, “There are no American infidels in Baghdad. Never!” What made his statement so memorable was that, just behind him on camera, American bombs were exploding. American troops were swarming into the country. He bravely — inanely — denied it all. U.S. soldiers, he said, “hold no place in Iraq. This is an illusion.” He was soon captured by those illusory troops…”

If the original Bagdad Bob was in fact a profile in courage, the performance of the 46* Administration in general, and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in particular, are portraits of pure prevarication and perfidy.

Here’s the juice: As we write, the United States has an open Southern border with no barriers or restrictions to entry whatsoever other than what nature provides.  We urge congressional Republicans to move for the impeachment of 46* for his refusal to enforce U.S. immigration law and the aiding and abetting of a grave threat to national security.

(4). In what would seem at first a rather counterintuitive account, The Washington Free Beacon‘s Aaron Sibarium reports how the country’s largest insurance companies, who’ve all fallen in line with Black Lies Matter, stand to benefit from the chaos they’re praising.

P.S. Our concealed carry class was, quite literally, a blast.  Most of the day was spent on the range, and the highlight was when our instructor, a game gal named Suzy, informed us the next exercise would involve running to, then shooting behind cover at the two targets on either side using first our right, then our left hand.  As the only other participant in the class was an older gentleman even more gravitationally challenged than yours truly, we deadpanned Suzy before commenting, “We trust you understand “running” is a relative term.”

We’re proud to report, age notwithstanding, our shooting skills have yet to exceed their shelf life.
