This is perhaps the perfect ending to the story of Trump-era press coverage and helps explain why media outlets never punished the anonymous sources of bogus Russia collusion stories by outing them. The bearers of false witness never gave their permission! Will this odd media courtesy be extended to anonymous sources who supply false claims about President Joe Biden?…”

Meanwhile, despite the New York Post‘s report four people on terror watchlist have been arrested at our southern border since October, three from Yemen, one from Serbia, the Dimocratic chairman of the House Intelligence & Special Operations Subcommittee maintains it’s impossible for anyone on the watchlist to cross the border.  One can only surmise the dishonorable gentleman assumes every terrorist attempting infiltration is interdicted; you know, like the traffic in illegal drugs…and illegal aliens.

No threat to national security as a direct result of Progressive open border policies here, folks…please move along.

Call it the Malarkey Maneuver: When Joe Biden gets accused of something unsavory, he just emphatically insists it isn’t true and hopes that resolves the issue. “My son did nothing wrong!” “This never happened!” “You’re a damn liar!” “You’re a lying, dog-faced pony soldier!”

…Many of the migrants said they had spent their life savings and gone into debt to pay coyotes — human smugglers — who had falsely promised them that the border was open after President Biden’s election.

Sure, the human smugglers are lying to those they want to exploit. But if the human smugglers had told their victims that Donald Trump had opened the borders and was now welcoming workers from Central America…would any of those poor migrants have believed those claims?

When Biden took office and announced that he was pausing deportations for 100 days, that ICE would no longer deport immigrants for crimes such as driving under the influence and assault, and that he would cease border-fencing construction…didn’t that promise from the human smugglers seem a little more plausible?“

Poor 46*: if brains were dynamite, he couldn’t blow his nose.  But if a willingness to sell out the country for purely personal gain were, the man could lay waste to the planet.

(2). NRO‘s Brittany Bernstein reports Biden will finally hold his first solo press conference “next week“.  Count on the fact the questioners and questions will be pre-selected and pre-screened, and 46* will read his pre-rehearsed responses directly from his teleprompters…however imperfectly.

(3). The Daily Wire relates how teachers in Loudon County, VA have compiled a list of parents who’ve questioned the school system’s racial curriculum, plotting what amounts to war as they seek to “Infiltrate…shut down their websites…expose these people publicly“.

(4). As Beth Baumann records at Townhall.com, Gavin Newsom apparently believes his only mistake in going to the French Laundry involved the table at which he sat.  Meanwhile, Newsom has blamed the campaign for his recall on “anti-mask and anti-vax extremists“, “Republicans and White supremacists” and “racism“.  In other words, pretty much everyone other than Gavin himself.

(5). The great Victor Davis Hanson echoes our oft-repeated assertion Socialists see the Military foremost as a tool for accelerating their own progressive domestic changes.  That The Donald didn’t do more to address this urgent issue of national security was particularly disappointing to us.

(6). The Journal‘s Kim Strassel provides a detailed look at how Mitch McConnell’s “scorched-earth Senate” might function.  Or, to put it more accurately, malfunction, as she insightfully observes, “The filibuster isn’t the problem, and the Senate isn’t “broken.” All that stands in the way of legislation is a Democratic majority unwilling to compromise on any aspect of a radical agenda.”

(7). As can be inferred from this FOX report, Kommielaa’s continued SILENCE in the face of Sonny Cuomo’s increasingly adverse circumstances is positively DEAFENING.

This after Kommielaa spoke at a U.N. Commission on the Status of Women event on Tuesday. She’s a real profile in courage, that one.  Then again, Sonny did receive an Emmy!
