It’s Monday, December 7th, 2020, and 79 years ago today…
But remember, never forgetting…
…isn’t the same as…
…not forgiving.
Now, here’s The Gouge!
We lead off the week with a rather compelling COVID-19 comparison courtesy of Carl “The Great One” Polizzi:
Any questions?!?
In a related item, as evidenced by these three headlines, cases of hyper-hypocrisy continue to run rampant in the Progressive political class. First, Townhall.com‘s Julio Rosas relates the…
And while Progressive politicians persist in proving why, in the best tradition of the Bourbons…
…the nation’s small business owners and other average citizens continue suffering the incredibly adverse impacts of their arbitrary, capricious and utterly unnecessary edicts, as evidenced by the experience of this L.A. restaurateur:
Wake up and smell the hypocrisy, California…along with the rest of the country!
Since we’re on the subject of the Land of Fruits & Nuts, courtesy of James Nichols, the New York Post reports…
You’ll recall, as noted in the October 21st, 2020 edition of The Gouge, in a previous move to “prevent discrimination” deserving of an “F” for effort, the educated idiots on the San Diego school board voted to eliminate non-academic factors like late work and classroom behavior in a student’s grade.
You know,…because…timely completion of tasks and good behavior don’t play significant roles in the futures of kids of color. Likely because, when the public education establishment is done with them, they won’t have futures.
Meanwhile, courtesy of Andrew Brophy, the Washington Examiner‘s Andrew Mark Miller reports…
As Mr. Brophy so eloquently observed, when you win, whatever you’ve claimed in the past becomes the stuff of Conservative tin hat conspiracies in the present.
Turning from the ridiculous to the altogether inexplicable:
Two thoughts immediately spring to mind: first…
And second, as regards Groper Joe’s assessment of Kamala’s “intelligence experience”, she served in the Senate for barely two years before going on the campaign trail for President. How much “intelligence experience” can she HAVE?!? Then again, she was crafty enough to realize she could sleep her way to the top.
Which brings us, appropriately enough, to The Lightweight Side…er,…sorry, The LIGHTER Side:
Then there’s these from Mark Foster…
…George Lawlor…
…and Brenda Berry…
…along with a couple seasonal bon mots from our son, Major Jon…
…and Ed Hickey:
Yeah, an extended “two-week” lockdown will do that to you.
