It’s Wednesday, November 18th, 2020…but before we begin, seeing this cartoon got us thinking:
It epitomizes The Left’s view of America as sheep in need of the guidance, direction and control of all-knowing shepherds; dumb animals incapable of any level of critical thinking, let alone risk analysis.
What the likes of Joe Biden, Dr. Faux Chi and other Beltway bumblers and bureaucrats fail to appreciate is Americans neither like nor need to be told how to manage their lives and circumstances, including the Wuhan virus. We completely comprehend the efficacy of regular hand washing and other common-sense precautions; we’ve even agreed, for the peace of mind of our fellows, to maintain an adequate distance from others in public even while wearing a largely useless mask.
What we also comprende quite clearly is:
(1). From it being first identified, the powers-that-be in global governance have been determined to hide the virus’s ChiCom origins, overstate its lethality and use its presence to increase their own power and defeat their political opponents.
(2). The death toll has been inflated well beyond the actual total, and Sonny Cuomo and Phil Murphy have killed almost as many people as the virus itself.
(3.) Its effects are felt almost exclusively by the very old or those whose obesity has given rise to two or more comorbidities, leaving the very young and young literally immune, and those between 25 and 65 at a healthy weight almost untouched.
(5). Flattening the curve meant easing the burden on hospitals and medical professionals, NOT reducing the overall number of cases; a rise in cases must inevitably accompany opening up the country. So we’re not swallowing you’re economy-destroying lockdown bullsh*t…
…AGAIN!
(6). If doctors, nurses, first responders and grocery store workers are essential employees, so are teachers.
(7). If strip clubs and liquor stores operate, then so can schools and churches.
*That last example bears special mention, as California’s dictator imposed the harshest lockdown measures yet mere days after blatantly violating his own edicts.
(9).We understand the pandemic has passed, and we’re now in a casedemic, which constitutes a state of emergency only in the minds of the powerful and the panicked.
(10). It’s not that we’re ignorant of the threat or denying its reality. We’ve simply assessed the risks and determined we’re going to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas with our families sans masks, and we neither ask nor require your permission to do so.
And here’s the juice (crank up the volume):
Now, here’s The Gouge!
First, speaking of those who can go hell, Stilton Jarlsberg takes us on a special encore walk down Dear Misleader Lane:
In a related item, writing at The Stream, Michael Brown says…
“I don’t doubt for a moment that we still have race issues to address in America. And I don’t believe that, to date, we have fully overcome the legacy of hundreds of years of slavery and segregation in our history.(While we love Mike Brown, this is a a position we decidedly DO NOT SHARE!)At the same time, I do not accept former President Obama’s claim that the 2016 election of Donald Trump was, in part, a reaction to having a Black man in the White House.
…There are certainly White racists in America (along with many BLACK racists!), and they must have hated having the Obamas in the White House. (It may surprise you to know that I have never metsuch a person face to face, heard from them on my radio show, or, to my memory, interacted with them on social media.I’m sure they exist.I just don’t know any of them.)
And, while I do not believe Trump is a racist, he surely knows how to push certain buttons to get people from different backgrounds in his camp.
But the fact of the matter is that there were no anti-Black, White supremacist, race riots when Obama was elected, nor were there any protesting his presidency during his 8 years in office. Not only so, but no one was boarding up stores in anticipation of his victory, which would surely have been the case had “millions of Americans” been “spooked” by his election and had his victory “triggered a deep sense of panic.”
Where, pray tell, was that panic? What evidence does the former president provide?…”
Though we’re not holding our breath.
Next, since we’re on the subject of the most totalitarian President in American history, writing at Best of the Web, in an absolutely must-read column (EDITOR’S NOTE: The italics, underlining and red highlighting are definite giveaways!), Jim Freeman relates not only the reality behind the claims of this lying piece of Communist pond scum, but the blatant bias of a MSM which continues to aid and abet his Socialist subterfuge:
And to think some 55 former members of our Military brass, one of our Navy classmates included, after willingly serving under this most Manchurian of candidates, ultimately determined Trump was unfit for office.
Moving on, courtesy of American Greatness via Conservative Playlist, Edward Ring warns of…
“Supporters of President Trump’s bid for reelection accurately depicted his agenda as one of America’s last chances to stop—or at least slow down—the nation’s drift toward socialism. Joe Biden’s candidacy has been depicted as the attempt by globalist corporations to reassert their control over American politics, wherein they will impose socialist redistribution schemes that devastate the middle- and working classes, making them dependent on government and rendering their citizenship irrelevant. This, too, is mostly accurate, although slowly-boil-the-frog protocols shall be followed to obscure the transition.
When roughly half the electorate recently chose Biden to be the next U.S. president, however, they weren’t consciously endorsing corporate socialism. Biden voters, to the extent they believe in socialism, haven’t yet figured out that the socialist movement in the United States is largely controlled by corporations. What they believe, thanks to relentless propaganda and censorship of dissenting viewpoints, is that President Trump is a racist and a “denier” of climate change. As such, President Trump is perceived as a menace, an object of hatred and fear, and anyone would be a better choice for president.
President Trump is not a racist, and he cares about the environment as much as any reasonable person ought to, but these two issues are much bigger than Trump. The issues of racial equity and environmental protection are marketed as the existential challenges of our time. In response to these challenges, we are told the only effective answer is socialism, whether in the form of the Green New Deal, deference to international organizations and treaties, or submission to critical racial theory retraining.
To fight socialism, you can’t justconvince people that it is an inherently flawed system. You have to destroy these two premises; that America is a racist nation, and that climate change poses an imminent threat to the survival of humanity. If you don’t, people will take their chances with socialism because they will see it as the only option…”
Which recalls the immortal wisdom of Ronaldus Maximus:
Meanwhile, NRO‘s Brittany Bernstein brings us the latest pronouncement from Governor Blackface, as…
“…Northam said he wants a responsible approach that promotes racial equity and preserves youth safety.
…The Democrat’s announcement comes after the release of a study that found Virginia could bring in $300 million in taxes from the sale of the marijuana…”
‘Cause it’s all about the children…of color…
…or creating new sources of revenue to feed the machine of government. We can never keep the ultimate aims of Progressive policies straight.
As the great Ronaldus Maximus yet again observed:
“The smoke from burning marijuana contains many more cancer-causing substances than tobacco. And if that isn’t enough it leads to bronchitis and emphysema. If adults want to take such chances that is their business. But surely the communications media should let [millions of youngsters] know what they are risking.“
Not a chance; and Ronald Reagan was just an actor, while Governor Blackface is a doctor!
Which brings us, appropriately enough, to The Lighter Side:
Then there’s these from Ed Hickey, the first three humorous…
…the fourth dead serious…
…followed by this one from Speed Mach…
…along with three others from Balls Cotton:
As regards that last one, it better be soon…and that right soon; and it better not turn out to be an equally mythical monster.
Finally, we’ll call it a wrap with two items, the first of which bespeaks not only the moral paucity of Joe Biden…
…but his actual interest in unity.
While the second highlights how, irrespective of color, creed, religion or nationality, no politician…
…willingly lets a good crisis go to waste…not to mention the nature of global forces arrayed against us.
