It’s Wednesday, September 30th, 2020…but before we begin, as this photo series from Balls Cotton confirms, there’s still justice in the world!
Now, here’s the first post-debate installment of The Gouge!
First up, we won’t be tuning in for the festivities, ’cause frankly we can’t stand to listen to any of the three individuals who’ll be involved.
Here’s the juice: we don’t need to tune in to know Chris Wallace will be solidly in Biden’s corner, every word Groper Joe utters will be a lie and Trump will be woefully unprepared to combat those lies with facts. More importantly, we fear a poor performance by the President may jeopardize Amy Barrett’s chances of confirmation.
Besides, nothing will be said which will change our vote.
But forget the debate: Given The Donald’s record in office, the state of disorder and disintegration Dimocrats have visited upon our country and the materially adverse impact Kamala Harris’ proposed policies will inevitably visit upon it, we’ve a tough time believing there remain any truly undecided voters, let alone “Republicans”…
…of sound mind…and clear conscience…who can possibly back her candidacy. Let’s be clear: Kamala Harris and the doddering figurehead atop her ticket…
…who evidently needs a break every 30 minutes to make it through a 90-minute debate…represent a political party utterly infected with a moral degeneracy at whose heart lies a slavish devotion to the murder of unborn infants so ghoulish it might have given the followers of Molech and Huitzilopochtli pause.
Now consider the other whirlwinds America continues to reap from the wicked winds these Socialists have sown:
Exhibit A: An unreasoned racial polarization which defies both fact and common sense:
Exhibit C: A dramatic decrease in the civility of our discourse which definitely predates The Donald:
Stabenow’s statement constituting an assertion so asinine her Senate colleague John Kennedy of Louisiana suggested she “Sell crazy somewhere else; we’re all stocked up here.”
Exhibit D: Counterproductive, indeed harmful policies predicated purely on Progressive identity politics and political correctness:
Mix them all together, throw in a generous pinch of anti-Semitism, a dash of open borders, a sprinkle or two of anti-Christian bias and a cup of complete disregard for the Constitution and the rule of law, and you have the modern Progressivism, a movement which epitomizes the world Orwell predicted in Animal Farm and 1984.
We’d love to hear Tom Ridge explain how anything Donald Trump has ever said, let alone done, presents as great a threat to the Founders’ Republic as what we’ve just detailed.
Speaking of threats to the Republic, writing at Best of the Web, Jim Freeman relates the sordid story of…
“Just because the Biden family political fortune is not as large as the Clinton fortune doesn’t make it right. The Clintons at least pretended to be dedicating themselves to the betterment of humanity. The Bidens don’t even bother.
Yet former Vice President Joe Biden’s presidential campaign and various media folk endlessly repeat the line that there’s no evidence the Bidens have done anything wrong…
…But of course it’s wrong for a powerful politician to allow a family member to accept millions of dollars for non-jobs.It’s also wrong that Vice President Biden never even recused himself from issues related to the check-writers.What’s new is that the Bidensdon’t even feel any need to hide such schemes.
Back in 2005when former President Bill Clinton was in Kazakhstan doing a solid for a wealthy financier who wanted a piece of the country’s rich uranium deposits, at least Mr. Clinton presented himself as an ambassador for affordable HIV/AIDS treatment.
The Biden model is to leverage the political power without the pretense of a charitable foundation. The family does not even appear to have made an effort to argue that son Hunter Biden really is an expert oncorporate governanceor Ukrainian geology or petroleum engineering orChinese financeorRomanian real estate.Last year the younger Biden quit such associations as they became public and promised not to engage in such activities if his father is elected president.
As for thenew disclosurethat a Russian billionaire named Elena Baturina wired $3.5 million to a company co-founded by Hunter Biden as part of a “consultancy agreement,” the campaign has essentially dismissed the report as politically motivated.Reporters in turn seem to have spent more time blindly asserting that there’s no wrongdoing than attempting to answer the obvious question of why a Russian real estate magnate sent so much money to a Biden entity.
The Bidens have implicitly acknowledged that a number of Hunter Biden’s business arrangements were wrong by ending them and promising that they won’t be repeated. And it was wrong of Joe Biden to tolerate and enable them.“
“Wrong” is right: Morally, ethically and in any and every other way possible. And if such dirty dealings aren’t criminal, they certainly should be, because they are.
Which brings us to The Lighter Side:
Then there’s these instant classics from Fielding Cocke…
…and Brenda Berry…
…along with another from Speed Mach…
…this little bon mot from Ed Hickey…
…and this string of Conservative consciousness from G. Trevor:
Finally, be sure to vote for who you think won the debate at our new poll near the top of the page on the right.

P.S. Our nephew David is getting married on Friday, so we likely won’t be back on the air until Monday. So, ’til then…
