It’s Monday, August 31st, 2020…but before we begin, as this headline from The Washington Times forwarded by James Nichols confirms, the Dimocratic ticket just received an important endorsement, as the…
As they say, you can tell a lot about a man by who his friends are…along with those who support him for political office.
In a related item, to all the corporate capitulators and others out there who continue to back Black Lies Matter, here’s who and what you’re endorsing:
As this video forwarded by our mother-in-law Ann details, sowing racial division has been part of the Communist playbook since the late 1940s:
And as achieving their goals requires a vast army of foot soldiers (i.e., cannon fodder) who are ignorant of both history and truth, Millennials provide an enormous pool of miseducated, amoral myrmidons yearning for the opportunity to sacrifice themselves in a cause they view as greater than themselves. Which is a VERY low threshold indeed!
Now, here’s The Gouge!
First up, writing at his White House Dossier, Keith Koffler details how…
Joe actually does a two-fer, as immediately after absolving Mr. Blake of any responsibility for his present circumstances, he declares George Floyd was murdered, a fact which remains far from settled pending Derek Chauvin’s trial and conviction in a court of law. We can only assume Joe was hanging with that bad dude Corn Pop the day presumption of innocence was covered at Syracuse Law.
Note also, not a word of concern for the officer involved, no mention of having reached out to him or his family. Like his powers of recall regarding the bedrock of American jurisprudence, candidate Biden’s compassion is very selective.
Then again, when it comes to prejudging Blake’s shooting, so has everyone else in any position of power on The Left, including, but far from limited to, Wisconsin’s Dimocratic governor…
…and Lieutenant Governor:
As for the MSM’s coverage of the event, we’re going to highlight in pink the deliberate misrepresentations and falsehoods expressed as facts, offered by, in no particular order, (1). NBC News:
“Wisconsin authorities have identified the two men who were allegedly shot dead by a 17-year-old earlier this week during a protest in Kenosha over the shooting of Jacob Blake by police.
The two men, Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26, were killed Tuesday when they tried to intervene during the alleged shooting rampage by the teenager. A third man, Gaige P. Grosskreutz, was also wounded in the attack.
Cellphone videos from the demonstration Tuesday night showed Rosenbaumapproaching the teen, who was carrying an AR-15 style rifle, according to the charging documents, and Rosenbaum appeared to throw a plastic bag at him before the latter opened fire.
(Sorry, but we were under the impression plastic tends to melt…
…when exposed to direct flames.)
Rosenbaum was struck several times…”
(2). The Atlantic, from aptly entitled article, This is How Biden Loses:
“Events are unfolding with the inevitable logic of a nightmare. A white police officer shoots a Black man as he’s leaning into a car with his three sons inside—shoots him point-blank in the back, seven times, “as if he didn’t matter,” the victim’s father later says. If George Floyd was crushed to death by depraved indifference, Jacob Blake is the object of an attempted execution.Somehow, he survives—but his body is shattered, paralyzed from the waist down, maybe for life. Kenosha explodes in rage, the same rage that’s been igniting around the country all summer long, fading in Minneapolis only to flare up in Portland. In Kenosha, as elsewhere, what starts in peaceful protest soon leads to violence: cars burned, shops smashed, local businesses destroyed. Police and rioters incite one another to escalate; armed vigilantes take matters into their own hands; anda teenager from out of state kills two local menwith an AR-15-style rifle…”
FYI, Antioch, Illinois is only 21.1 miles from Kenosha, significantly less as the crow flies.
Silver Lake, is 20.7 miles from Kenosha, further than Antioch in a straight line.
(3). TheGuardian, as biased a distributor of disinformation as CNN or MSDNC:
“The victims were Anthony Huber, 26, and Joseph “Jojo” Rosenbaum, 36,both men from the Kenosha area.Rosenbaum had a two-year-old daughter, according to local reports, while Huber leaves behind a stepdaughter.A third man, Gaige Grosskreutz, a 26-year-old from West Allis, 30 miles north of Kenosha, was shot but is expected to survive.
Huber, who lived in Silver Lake, 15 miles west of Kenosha, was a keen skateboarder, the Chicago Sun-Times reported…”
“…Online arrest records show Huber was arrested several times on battery, drugs and other charges. Rosenbaum had an open criminal case on battery, disorderly conduct and domestic abuse charges, according to the Wisconsin Circuit Court website. His previous record could not immediately be confirmed.“
…but only after the following, inexplicably fawning opening, which frankly left us wondering if the reporter had written the entire article before uncovering the character of his subjects:
“The two men who were gunned down during a chaotic night of demonstrations over the shooting of Jacob Blake in Wisconsin this week have been identified by family and friends as “sweet” and “loving” protesters. Anthony Huber, 26, and Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, died after police said a 17-year-old gunman who was illegally carrying a rifle shot them in the streets of Kenosha, the city where cops shot and wounded an unarmed Blake in front of his kids on Sunday.
Videos shared on social media appear to show Huber and Ronsebaum trying to take down the suspect late Tuesday nightmoments after the teen reportedly shot another protester. The third victim, 36-year-old Gaige Grosskreutz, was hospitalized but is expected to survive.
A friend and local business ownerdescribed the three activists as peaceful demonstrators who reportedly rallied against police brutality and systemic racism while condemning the use of violence during protests.
“They came out here every time with us. Sweet. Loving. They were the sweetest hearts, souls. I called Anthony my hippie guy,” Porche Bennett told the Kenosha News. “They were sweet guys. We knew all three of them, but (Huber) was the one who would always come up to me. Always would be right by me.”…”
Yes,…Ted Bundy was sweet and loving too…until you got to know him…up close and personal. Oh, and Hitler loved dogs!
In a follow-up to his earlier thoughts on the Blake shooting, NRO‘s Robert Verbruggen wonders…
“Goes to the defendant’s state of mind, your Honor.”
“…Rittenhouse is a 17-year-old from Antioch, Ill., about a half hour’s drive from Kenosha. Inexplicably, this underage police cadet from out of state wound up on the streets after curfew in a place where a riot was likely imminent, doing interviews with journalists and openly carrying an AR-15–style rifle.
There can be no question that Rittenhouse and whatever adults were in charge of him made idiotic decisions.
Minors should not stand guard at riots play-acting at being cops. But even people who knowingly put themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time are allowed to defend themselves against attack when they get there. So the biggest legal question is: Did Rittenhouse defend himself against attack with an appropriate amount of force, or were the people he shot the ones acting in self-defense by trying to disarm him?
…Rittenhouse is already a hero to some and a supervillain to others; in that sense, he is the Bernie Goetz of 2020. The highest charge against him strikes me as a stretch, but beyond that I don’t have any bold opinions yet. The outcome for each shooting will depend on whether Rittenhouse reasonably feared for his life, which in turn might depend on broader context we lack thus far — and even if all three shootings were justified, there are still firearms and reckless-endangerment charges for him to contend with.
Where the f*** were this kid’s parents?“
A fair question which concludes a fair analysis, but one which begs an equally-fair counter: how many parents in America know where their 17-year-olds are 24/7? We confess we didn’t…nor did our parents back between November 7, 1972 and July 9, 1973…the dates marking our 17th birthday and Induction Day for the Class of ’77 at the Naval Academy.
For additional analysis, we offer as Exhibit “A”, this video by Colion Noir forwarded by James Nichols:
Again, which confirms the object Rosenbaum threw at Rittenhouse was some sort of incendiary device…
…likely a Molotov cocktail. One thing’s for certain: owing to the fact plastic tends to melt when on fire, it wasn’t a plastic bag!
Next, Exhibit “B”, as in Brandon Tatum:
P.S. FYI, according to both Brandon Tatum and the Hodge Twins, Facebook ‘s Thought Police are threatening to close down their accounts.
For a different perspective on the situation, Balls Cotton forwarded this entry from Wilder, Wealthy and Wise you’ll likely find of interest, as the author wonders, in keeping with the subject of the video featured earlier from our mother-in-law…
“…The goal of the Left, as amply illustrated by Yuri Bezmenov (Yuri Bezmenov’s 1980’s Prediction of 2020), is to demoralize the West. Demoralization’s goal is to destroy the moral outlook of our nation. The goal of Demoralization is to destroy your moral outlook.
If you’re a Christian, the goal of the Enemy (you know who when I write the big E) is to make you feel despair. If you’re not a Christian, and still on the Right, the goal of the enemy is the same – to make you feel despair. To make you feel you cannot win. To make you feel that there is nothing you can do to stop the inevitable march of history. The Enemy (or enemy) wants you to believe that the victory of the Left isinevitable.
That’s why my Friday posts are, at least recently, focused on the opposite. The victory of the Right is inevitable. And that’s what scares the Left more than anything. They will do absolutely everything they can to make you feel powerless. They will do whatever they can to make you feel that nothing you do matters. You can’t fight them.
That’s smart. But a 17 year old in Kenosha proved it was a lie, and may very well be the Rosa Parks of the Right…”
Less Rosa Parks, and more either Lexington & Concord, or…
…Magnum Force.
As always, we report, you decide!
Next up, two articles detailing similar Progressive themes, the first from Red State via The Boss…
“…States like Texas, New York and Vermont have done similar studies in the last two years, finding that along with cash, reparations could mean housing assistance, lower tuition, forgiving student loans, job training, community investments, etc.
“If the 40-acres-and-a-mule that was promised to free slaves were delivered to the descendants of those slaves today, we would all be billionaires,” state Sen. Steven Bradford, D-Gardena, said. “I hear far too many people say, ‘Well, I didn’t own slaves, that was so long ago.’ Well, youinherit wealth — you can inherit the debt that you owe to African-Americans.”“
“Housing assistance, lower tuition, forgiving student loans (why does anyone need lower tuition if their student loans will be forgiven?!?), job training, community investments, etc.”, the “etc.” meaning cash payments to men for not working and abandoning their wife/girlfriend and kids, cash to women for having babies out of wedlock, food stamps, etc., etc., etc., ad nauseam, ad infinitum: We know California likes to be on the cutting edge of most anything, but Sacramento is seemingly oblivious to the fact (there’s that pesky word again!) such measures were enacted back in 1964 as part of LBJ’s effort to ensure Black loyalty at the ballot box…
…during which time taxpayers have forked over approximately $30 TRILLION!!! Shouldn’t THAT be credited as reparations?!?
And what about individuals whose families never owned slaves nor inherited wealth, owing to their Union ancestors impoverishing their families by fighting and dying to free the slaves during the Civil War? What about people who inherited little more than their parents’ funeral expenses?
Also, can we assume, since Kamala Harris’s ancestors actually owned slaves, she’ll be on the giving rather than receiving end of your hare-brained plan for reparations?!?
Until Mr. Bradford can answer those questions…along with a multitude of others which render reparations unworkable…we’d disrespectfully offer him the same suggestion Spider gave Tommy.
Which brings us, appropriately enough, to The Lighter Side:
Then there’s these from Balls Cotton…
…a few from Ed Hickey…
…a couple more courtesy of James Nichols…
…along with one from Breeze Gould…
…Brendan Clark…
…the lovely Shannon…
…and our eldest son Jon:
Finally, we’ll call it a wrap with two sordid stories straight from the pages of The Crime Blotter, as we first learn of a…
“A homeless woman died in Texas after being struck by a stray bullet fired during a wild street brawl that involved some 60 Hurricane Laura evacuees. Austin police identified the victim as Amy Lynn Warner, 51. They charged Linton Alexander, 21, on Friday with her death.
It happened at 12:30 a.m. Thursday near the Driscoll Hotel in the city’s downtown. “The information gathered thus far indicates that two groups of hurricane evacuees, one from Port Arthur and one from Beaumont, got into an argument and a large fight ensued,” police said. “Individuals from both parties produced handguns,” officials said. “One person fired and struck a woman experiencing homelessness who happened to be nearby, but was not involved.”…”
Truly, no good deed goes unpunished…including evacuation from the path of a hurricane.
Meanwhile, further east in Alabama, the fruits of slavery and Jim Crow continue to plague the country, as an…
“Johnarian Travez Allen was shot eight times on Thursday evening in Union Springs, a small town some 45 miles outside of Montgomery, WSFA 12 reported.
Jeremiah Wesley Penn claimed he shot Allen because the 29-year-old was taking too long to cross the street…Penn had supposedly gone to a store to purchase food. On his way over, he stopped to let Allen cross the street, at which point Penn felt that Allen was taking too long…”
As Johnarian Travez Allen was Black…and shot eight times…no doubt Black Lies Matter will, as in the case of Breonna Taylor, turn its full attention on Union Springs to demand justice for the fallen.
