President Trump nominated Mr. Barr in December 2018, and for a momenthe receivedthe respect he deserves. The press had grown accustomed to demeaning all Trump nominees, butwas stymied by Mr. Barr’s impressive career and bipartisan legal support. A Justice Department and Central Intelligence Agency veteran, he served as attorney general from 1990-91 with distinction. Media outlets had to acknowledge his “pedigree,” and CNN even quoted an unnamed Justice Department lawyer who had been “nervous” about a Trump pick but pronounced Mr. Barr “a great choice” because “he’s tough he’s principled and he’s independent.”
Mr. Barr remains all those things. He has been vilified precisely because he has maintained an impartial view of the Justice Department and has kept his promises. The great hope—and demand—of the Russia-collusion crowd was that Mr. Barr—as a longtime man of the institution—would circle the department’s wagons. His refusal to do so has made him a threat.
And so commenced one of the more obvious, not to mention nasty, delegitimization campaigns in modern Beltway history…”
Second only to that waged against The Donald himself, along with Clarence Thomas, Bret Kavanaugh and Robert Bork, the man whose utterly undeserved vilification in the cause of the unrestricted slaughter of the unborn…

“Let’s get one thing straight: An armed citizen responding to an attempted mass shooter in a place of worship, like yesterday at the West Freeway Church of Christ, is no one’s first choice or ideal scenario. We would all prefer a world where no gunmen ever charged into a church, and no man with a knife ever charged into a rabbi’s house, as in Monsey, N.Y. Saturday night. We would all prefer to live in a world where the cops were already on-scene in those situations, and the police would always know where they need to be before the worst even gets started. But wedon’t live in either of those worlds.
In light of those cold hard facts, we need to choose the next best option. There are a lot of gun-control advocates who believe the next best option is for worshippers to remain unarmed in houses of worship and to just hope for the best. On any given day, the vast majority houses of worship and religious gatherings will not be attacked, even if the weekend’s attacks spur copycats. In the minds of gun-control advocates, the idea of an armed citizen doing something wrong — firing at the shooter and hitting an innocent bystander, or accidentally firing his weapon — that it is better to just remain unarmedand hope for the best. If an attacker does burst in during services, I guess their advice would be to duck, hide, and pray…which is ironic, because every other time this crowd insists that your thoughts and prayers are meaningless.
There’s no guarantee that an armed citizen will always respond as quickly and effectively as we saw at the West Freeway Church of Christ Sunday. But the presence of an armed citizen makes that scenario possible. The alternative is to be like the Hasidic Jews at the rabbi’s house in Monsey, trying to repel the attacker with furniture and whatever else is available. You might stop an intruder by throwing a chair at him. But you have a much better chance of stopping him with a firearm — perhaps without even firing a shot, depending upon how rational he is at that moment…”

In 2019, 65% of Americans identified as Christian, down from 77% in 2009. The percentage who identify as religiously unaffiliated — that is, atheist, agnostic or “nothing in particular” — stood at 26% in 2019, compared with 17% a decade ago.
I think this shift reflects less belief in God, rather than what God Americans choose to worship.
Take, for instance, Democratic presidential contender Elizabeth Warren. There does not appear to be a single aspect of human existence for which she doesn’t have her own answer. Warren thinks she’s God, and a shockingly high number of Americans seem ready to line up and worship her.
Warren knows what is just and unjust, how much wealth is too much for any particular individual(Always$1 more than she has!)and how much is not enough. And she feels totally empowered to take from one and give to the other to make the world what it is supposed to be.
Needless to say, in her exalted, divine wisdom, she is ready to deliver the last word on sexual identity, marriage, family and, of course, life and death.
I’m focusing on Elizabeth Warren because she is the most unabashedly outspoken and detailed in her views representing the American left. But she is really the American left itself…”
If, to paraphrase Marx, religion is the opiate masses, Lieawatha and her economics of envy are the crack cocaine of contemporary Socialism. Think about it: we’re talking about a system which has never worked…notonce…notever!!!
