“Congressman James Clyburn, D-S.C., defended freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Wednesday by saying her experience was “more personal” than Jews whose parents survived the Holocaust. Clyburn argued Omar’s experience “is much more empirical — and powerful — than that of people who are generations removed from the Holocaust, Japanese internment camps during WWII and the other violent episodes that have marked history,” according to a report in The Hill.
“I’m serious about that.
There are people who tell me, ‘Well, my parents are Holocaust survivors.’ ‘My parents did this.’ It’s more personal with her,” Clyburn said. “I’ve talked to her, and I can tell you she is living through a lot of pain.”…”

Read Omar’s Wikileak biography, then tell us how a Somalian who fled her country and spent four years in a Kenyan refugee camp before moving to America has any experience, personal or otherwise, with either the Israelis or “Palestinians” which would even remotely justify her rabid anti-Semitism?!? SPOILER ALERT: Zip, zero, nada.

First up, the fact these feckless fools would pass a resolution “against hate” only confirms the observation Ron Ross offers in a must-read commentary at American Spectator:
“The Democrat Party has lost its mind. What’s happening there, however, is not happening in isolation. In society and in life nothing happens in isolation.
There’s a word that describes the Party’s behavior: nihilism: “a viewpoint that traditional values and beliefs are unfounded and that existence is senseless and useless, a doctrine that denies any objective ground of truth and especially moral truths.”
That definition fits the current Democrat Party. The Party and the left place little or no value on tradition, the Constitution, the sanctity of life, borders, private property rights, voting-law enforcement, election outcomes, standards of behavior, or free speech. These are all fundamentally different kinds of rules or systems of rules. The left does not like rules (at least not for themselves).
If you do not like rules, you do not like order, and the alternative to order is chaos. The Democrat Party is attempting to lead the country into chaos.Once you recognize that the Democrat Party is nihilistic it becomes easier to understand why they think and act as they do.
…Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the unofficial leader of the Democrat Party. AOC is the perfect standard bearer for how the Party is evolving. She has zero real-world experience (beyond making martinis and margaritas). She hasn’t the slightest idea what’s she’s talking about. Her Green New Deal is little more than a utopian hallucination. Nevertheless, she is the most popular Democrat.More than anyone else, she defines the party.
Democrats’ fascination with AOC shows thatthey place no value on experience, maturity, or judgment. She did not invent chaos, but she embodies it, particularly mental chaos.
Beyond nihilism the Democrat Party is motivated by hate and the negativity. Their decision rule is, “If Donald Trump is for it, we’re against it.” If his goal is to “make America great again,” they’ll do everything they can to prevent that from happening.
They hate Donald Trump first and foremost because he won.They hate him because he is the exact opposite of who they are. He is positive, they are negative. They hate his supporters because they caused him to win.
A Chinese proverb says, “Hate destroys the container in which it is stored.” And Martin Luther King said “Hate destroys the hater.” No political party can sustain itself on hate. (Though, absent Operation Barbarossa, the Nazis might well have succeeded!)They apparently have little else.

“…Mrs. Pelosi this week accomplished the remarkable feat of sidelining Mr. Trump and owning most of the unpleasant headlines herself. House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler explained that his sprawling Trump investigation was primarily designed to convince voters that Democrats were “not just trying to steal the last—to reverse the results of the last election.” This required his colleagues to deny furiously(i.e., LIE!!!) that the party has already decided on impeachment.
Then there was the crackup between House party elders who wanted Democrats to condemn the anti-Semitism of Rep. Ilhan Omar, and woke freshmen who wanted to turn smears against Jews into a fuzzy discussion of hurt feelings. Members battled for days, only for Mrs. Pelosi on Thursday to roll over to the progressive left’s demand that any resolution condemn “hate” in general and not anti-Semitism specifically. Even CNN described all this as “chaos.”
These are not the only incidents. They follow a high-profile moment in which moderate Democrats bucked their party to vote with Republicans on gun control, as well as furious backlash to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s threat last week to put those Democrats on a “list” for a primary challenge if they don’t get with her program. And of course radical-left House members for weeks have overshadowed the Pelosi agenda with their own proposals for a Green New Deal, Medicare for All, giant tax hikes and more.
It’s tempting to write these moments off as growing pains or the type of backbencher grandstanding that debilitated John Boehner’s speakership.But that ignores how huge and fundamental the fissures are becoming in the Democratic Party. This isn’t a tea-party moment, which was fueled by conservatives who felt their Republican members weren’t living up to principles that most in the party share.The Democratic Party is moving in two different directions.
Ideologically, how do you mesh a party whose members variously embrace and reject capitalism? Hillary Clinton, in a remarkable moment last year, said she believes her decision in 2016 to call herself a “capitalist” hurt her in places like Iowa, where “41% of Democrats are socialists or self-described socialists.” In other words, well over a third of Iowa caucus-goers reject the economic and political basis upon which the Democratic Party was founded.
The moderates who won Mrs. Pelosi the gavel ran on deficit reduction, border security and market reforms. Today’s progressive movement subscribes to “modern monetary theory,” in which debt no longer matters; wants to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement; and believes markets are immoral.These aren’t degrees of separation. They’re completely separate philosophies…”

Only one show on MSNBC, “All In With Chris Hayes,” so much as acknowledged the bombshell case, also without letting on that Clinton had been named as a frequent Epstein guest by the child victims.
But recently, the very news outlets that spiked any news about this case for the past 13 years are suddenly hot on the trail of Jeffrey Epstein. Why the newfound sense of decency?
The answer is: Because they found a Trump connection. There’s a 2002 quote from Donald Trump saying nice things about Epstein and photographic proof that Epstein was one of the hundreds of thousands of people who have been to Mar-a-Lago. (There are rumors he has also been to the Grand Canyon and the Empire State Building.)

Finally, we’ll call it a week with yet another titillating tale torn from the pages of The Crime Blotter, and this bizarre Geschichte nach Deutschland:
“Authorities in Germany are warning anyone who may have had a conflict with a recently deceased gardener to be on the lookout, after an apparent set of booby-trapped bombs left 1 dead and 2 hurt. Rhineland-Palatinate Police said in a news release that gardener Bernhard Graumann, 59, was found dead in his bed in Mehlinhen, near Kaiserslautern in west Germany, on Friday night.
Earlier that day, a 64-year-old doctor in a nearby town was found dead in front of his practice after an explosion. Police believe the bomb may have been in a package that was left in front of the office as part of a “booby trap” which the doctor picked up, triggering the blast.
Two days later, an “explosive-engineered log” exploded in a wood-burning stove at a home about five miles from where Graumann lived, according to police. A woman and her 4-year-old daughter were injured in that blast.
…Police said all three had been known to Graumann, who either had a “personal or business” connection to the victims. “Graumann did not have a good relationship with these people,” police said, adding that there were prior conflicts in the past.
“The police cannot rule out the possibility that the deceased made preparations to endanger the lives of other people before he died,” officials said. “In particular, people who have had a problematic private or business relationship with Graumann are urged to contact the police immediately.”“
