It’s Monday, March 13th, 2017…and here’s The Gouge!
The focus of today’s edition is Progressives and their purposeful campaign to subvert the Founders’ Republic and the Constitution upon which it is based. Though it’s a simultaneous assault on many fronts, the attacks are not always direct.
First, the deliberate dumbing-down of America’s education system…at every level…pioneered by one John Dewey (deified by Liberals as the father of progressive education), whose goal, as Carl Gallups noted, was an illiterate, miseducated, misinformed, humanistic America:

Any question whatsoever the recent riot and assault at Middlebury College is the embodiment of Dewey’s dream? For those still unconvinced, we offer this excellent analysis of the Middlebury travesty from Peter Wood writing at The Federalist:
Seriously, we’d bet the farm notone of these coddled Communists ever bothered to read Murray’s writings, let alone is possessed of even the most minimal understanding of either the concept of reasoned debate or the First Amendment.
Though perhaps not functionally illiterate, beyond any shadow of a doubt they’re products of purposeful miseducation and misinformation.
Barack Hussein Obama, Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch and others already have the deaths of dozens, perhaps even hundreds on their hands through their enablement of the BLM farce. Absent the quick and effective intervention by authorities on our nation’s college campuses in defense of the unfettered exercise of free speech, it’s only a matter of time before somebody else gets shot.
Though, as Harry Callahan observed in response to Lieutenant Briggs’ contention there wasn’t supposed to be any shooting, “Nothing wrong with shooting…as long as the right people…
…get shot.”
We understand the phrase “CONGRESS shall pass no law…” may not necessitate adherence by private colleges and universities, but it certainly doesn’t require the federal government provide such illiberal Liberal institutions continued funding…in any fashion; whether it be college loans for attending students, research grants or any other forms of aid/largesse.
Meanwhile, thelaw is stillthe law; and the last time we looked, physical assault, rioting, arson and/or unlawful assembly were still criminal offenses in 99.9% of the country. Though no one seems subject to prosecution, let alone incarceration, in either Berkeley or Middlebury.
Any question were we to go next door to our neighbor’s, toss a Molotov cocktail through their front window and scream anti-free speech slogans we’d spend a day or two in the hoosegow?!? So why no arrests, let alone prosecutions or prison time, for anyone involved in the aforementioned riots?
This, along with the ceding of our nation’s sovereign control over its borders and territory constitutes a second and separate front: the complete, utter and selective disregard for the rule of law.
Which brings us to a third, viaPolitico and our old friend and Naval Academy classmate George Lawlor, as his Harvard Law School classmates detail…

If you can’t legislate, litigate! And regardless of your level of support in the general population, despite what the Constitution or current law might explicitly say, if you have enough jurists on a particular bench who believe, as Progressives do, the Constitution represents nothing more than a conspiracy by racist, misogynistic, privileged White men to maintain their subjugation of minorities, women and LGBTQWXYZ’s, you win…
…and the vast majority of the rest of the country loses!
Which brings us to today’s installment of the Environmental Moment, and the fourth front, as detailed in this forward from Jeff Foutch courtesy of Breitbart; though in this case it’s a victory for sanity and smaller government in Washington:
“Two pieces of excellent news from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) show that incoming administrator Scott Pruitt is doing the Lord’s work. First, he has come clean and said what he should have ‘fessed up to a while back: he doesn’t believe in the Carbon Fairy:
Asked his views on the role of carbon dioxide, the heat-trapping gas produced by burning fossil fuels, in increasing global warming, Mr. Pruitt said on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” that “I think that measuring with precision human activity on the climate is something very challenging to do and there’s tremendous disagreement about the degree of impact, so, no, I would not agree that it’s a primary contributor to the global warming that we see.”
That phrase, “the heat-trapping gas produced by burning fossil fuels,” is just a bit of New York Times editorializing, by the way. No serious person thinks that man-made carbon dioxide poses any kind of major climate threat because there’s just no evidence to support that theory.It’s just one of those cherished left-liberal myths that goes next to other fantasy concepts like “equality,” “sustainability,” and “social justice.”
Speaking of which, the second piece of good news is that the Environmental Protection Agency has just lost its head of Environmental Justice.
Probably you didn’t know that the EPA had a head of Environmental Justice, but you should because you’ve been paying his salary since the George H.W. Bush era. His name is Mustafa Ali, and, according to a tearful requiem in Inside Climate, he has resigned in protest at EPA budget cuts, which will see the agency lose 20 percent of its 15,000 staff and $2 billion from its $8 billion.
“Jumped before he was pushed” is the phrase that comes to mind, for it is likely that Ali’s department will be dismantled altogether. Ali has written a resignation letter to Scott Pruitt saying what a mistake this would be. But if you go to the EPA’s website and see what the Environmental Justice Department has been doing for the last few years, you may disagree with this assessment.

Yet another reason to thank our lucky stars there’s not a third Bush in the White House. Just like sooooo many other modern Republicans, with friends like the Bushes, who needs Dimocrats?!?

Any questions?!? It’s the replacement of Gaia for God, the humanist portion of John Dewey’s nefarious dumbing-down scheme.
And it’s worth remembering, just as Black Lives Matter was built on the fabricated fable of “Hands Up/Don’t Shoot“, so too was the modern environmental movement erected on a similar fantasy:

It should also be noted Carson’s crimes would not have been possible without the active support of…
…Richard Nixon, the Republican President who created the EPA, and its Secretary, William Ruckelshaus.

Then there’s the fifth front: the evisceration of the country’s established traditions and centers of opposition to Progressive pogroms, as demonstrated in this follow-up to an earlier item detailing the probability of an upcoming witch-hunt against the Marine Corps:

Please note: no concern about national security, military preparedness or anything else remotely connected to the primary mission of America’s Military. Nothing but politically-correct Progressive propaganda and patent bullsh*t.
