It’s Wednesday, November 9th, 2016…and morning once again in America…or at least the promise of morning.

Now, here’s The Gouge!

At the top of today’s order, a few brief thoughts on the import of yesterday’s election.

First, Hillary’s refusal to address what was left of her supporters last night tells you all you need to know about her fitness for office.

Second, we echo the thoughts of Bill Meisen, who observed, “The fact Trump won brings me no joy; thinking about who lost makes me ecstatic!”.

And Stilton Jarlsberg, who wrote last night prior to retiring for the evening with Trump ahead, but the final outcome still in doubt, “We don’t want to jinx anything by absolutely declaring Trump the winner yet – but we will say that we’re currently experiencing more hope for change than anything we’ve felt in the past 8 years”.

From where we sit, last night wasn’t an endorsement of either Trump’s questionable character or proposed policies, but rather a stinging rebuke to the two most corrupt “leaders” ever to soil our nation’s politics, eight long years of lawless, unconstitutional executive governance and over thirty years of unrestrained criminal malfeasance.

Yesterday, all across the Heartland, millions of individuals took the opportunity to stand up and tell Obama, the Clintons and the Washington political establishment…

Here are a few of the things they said loudly and clearly last night: political correctness is a cancer; cops aren’t the enemy; entitlements never lifted anybody out of poverty; people kill people, particularly other Black people; taxes, government spending and the price of gasoline can never be too low; fracking and coal are not evil; climate change is a myth; Iran shouldn’t be handed nuclear weapons; America doesn’t ransom hostages; children shouldn’t be forced to share bathrooms with perverts; illegal immigration isn’t a “right”; our borders need to be secured; Obamacare isn’t working; though we’re not at war with Islam, America is engaged in a life-and-death conflict with a significant segment of its adherents, and the safety of her citizens demands the government act accordingly.  They’re not heartless; rather they’re with Thomas Sowell when he suggests:

The plight of Middle East refugees is something that any decent human being can sympathize with. But other refugees have been helped in their own part of the worldwith money, food, medicine and other things, in settings more compatible with their own way of life, rather than being brought across an ocean to a country that neither fits them nor which they fit in.

They correctly concluded, after living with the consequences of twice electing an utterly unqualified, anti-American Islamofascist solely on the basis of his skin color, possession of a vagina does not qualify one for the Presidency…particularly when the vagina comes attached to a

The heart and soul of the country surveyed the damage wrought by Obama, rightly recognized (the opinions of NeverTrump Conservatives to the contrary notwithstanding) the Founders’ Republic couldn’t survive even four more years of comparable calamity and corruption, and so stepped between Hillary and their vision of America, effectively stating…

Six Thoughts on Donald Trump’s Breathtaking, Surreal Upset Victory

New York Magazine’s answer to “Dewey Defeats Truman”

Business mogul Donald J. Trump has been elected the 45th President of the United States.  The act of writing that factual sentence represents the surreal culmination of a surreal election cycle, the likes of which the country has never witnessed. A few thoughts:

(1) This was an upset of epic proportions. Needless to say, based on all of the available data — including, reportedly, to the Trump campaign itself — most analysis did not see this coming.  Myself very much included. Based on polling and electoral models, the GOP nominee looked like he needed to win every state carried by Mitt Romney in 2012, flip Florida, Ohio, and Iowa, then find a way to break through Clinton’s “blue firewall” to cobbled together the remaining electoral tallies. I called this plausible and laid out an accurate road map to how it could happen, but did not believe he would pull it off. Not only did he do so, he burned the so-called firewall to the ground. He won Wisconsin. He won Pennsylvania, he won an electoral vote in Maine. And as of this writing (5:00 am ET), he may yet win Michigan and/or New Hampshire. These are feats no Republican presidential ticket has accomplished in decades. The state-level polling was wrong. The data was wrong. The models were wrong.  Hidden Trump voters were real.  Rally sizes were indicative of the enthusiasm gap.  An inferior ground game didn’t matter. Getting outspent by a lot didn’t matter (the consecutive low-budget vanquishing of Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton destroyed the Left’s “money runs politics” meme). Having an unfavorable rating of roughly 60 percent, with large majorities rejecting his qualifications and temperament, didn’t matter.  A sizable chunk of those people voted for him anyway.  Much, much more on all of these details to come…

(2) The abject political humiliation of Hillary Rodham Clinton is complete.  She’s spent practically her entire adult life building up to this moment, and she choked, losing to Donald Trump — the least popular (according to finalized exit polls) presidential nominee in American polling history.  We already knew that the American people neither liked nor trusted Mrs. Clinton.  Now we know exactly how deep those sentiments ran.  The Democratic establishment heavily tilted their primary in the favor of an incorrigibly corrupt liar, and they’ve paid an extraordinary political price for their myopic machinations.  Hillary Clinton may have wriggled off the hook for her many scandals, but fate caught up with her.  Her ultimate indictment was delivered by the American people.

(3) The policy legacy of President Barack Obama is a smoldering wreckage.  Trump ran as the anti-Obama in virtually every way imaginable, and he prevailed.  Obama explicitly argued that the election of Hillary Clinton was necessary to secure his legacy; voters responded with a decisive, “no thanks.”  It’s all in jeopardy now.  The reckless Iran deal.  The failing, unpopular Obamacare scheme.  The slew of legally dubious executive orders.  And the list goes on.  Obama will now hand over the White House and the highest office in the land to a man who effectively launched his political career by questioning his eligibility to hold that office.  It’s truly unbelievable…”

So it’s sayonara, suckers, and good riddance to bad rubbish:

Don’t let the door hit you on your lyin’ anti-American asses on your way out!

Now for the hard part: it’s time for Trump to…

stand-and-deliver-logo-10-2

Praising Hillary’s public service and saying the country owes her a debt of gratitude isn’t quite the start we had in mind, particularly as Hillary served the country up far more than she served it.  Nor do we believe committing untold more billions in debt towards amorphous government infrastructure projects is a good use of taxpayer dollars.

That said, only time will tell.

One thing’s for certain: as we’ve previously predicted, pardons for both the Clintons, for all their past crimes, are certain between now and January 20th.  Either that or Hillary and Bill wind up in Fort Marcy Park.

As FOX News reports, all signs continue to indicate Hillary really needs one:

Benghazi guards turned on US diplomats in 2012 attack, sources say

“So what are all you guys doing the night of the 11th?”

An obscure private firm hired by the State Department over internal objections to protect U.S. diplomats in Benghazi just months before the American ambassador and three others were killed was staffed with hastily recruited locals with terror ties who helped carry out the attack, multiple sources told Fox News.

The explosive charge against Wales-based Blue Mountain Group comes from several sources, including an independent security specialist who has implemented training programs at U.S. Consulates around the world, including in Benghazi, where he trained a local militia that preceded Blue Mountain. The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Blue Mountain used local newspaper ads to assemble a team of 20 guards, many of whom had terror ties, after securing a $9.2 million annual contract.

“The guards who were hired were locals who were part of the Ansar al-Sharia and Al Qaeda groups operating in Benghazi,” said the source, whose assignment in Benghazi had ended in November 2011. Whoever approved contracts at the State Department hired Blue Mountain Group and then allowed Blue Mountain Group to hire local Libyans who were not vetted.”…”

We’re shocked…shocked…to find no vetting was going on there!  Good to know Hillary’s State Department vetted the Benghazi guards as well as Obama’s been vetting Muslim “refugees”.

Turning now to The Lighter Side

We only hope Charlie Rangel, Sam Jackson and the rest of the Progressive putzes listed in this link forwarded by Bill Meisen make Burch & Co. a fortune!

Finally, we’ll call it a day…a particularly glorious day…with another sordid story straight from the pages of The Crime Blotter:

Police Say Man Accused In Fatal Hit & Run Was Doing 134 MPH In 35 MPH Zone

Tyler White (credit: Denver Police)

“Investigators say a man who hit and killed a woman on Colorado Boulevard was going 134 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone. The suspect, Tyler White, ran from the scene and was found at CityPark where two fishermen reported he was naked and dancing on a statue in the middle of the lake.

He admitted to the crime saying he was just “being stupid.” He said he just moved here from Tennessee to get a fresh start and has been staying with friends. He says he was driving downtown to check out the city when the crash happened.

White admits he was speeding when the cars crashed on Colorado Boulevard. He told CBS4 last month, however, he wasn’t driving as fast as police now claim.I was going 90 miles an hour,” White said.

White says he smoked pot a few hours earlier, but did not feel high. “I wasn’t high at the time when I was driving,” said White. “It was already out of my system; it wasn’t like I was stoned driving.”

…White says he remembers the crash, even waking up, but says he thought he was dead. Brice asks, “Do you remember how you got there (City Park) or why you didn’t have your clothes on?” “I really don’t know,” says White. “Something just took over me, told me to go there.”…”

Any question who this knucklenose would have voted for had he not been incarcerated?!?
