It’s Monday, October 10th, 2016…and no, we won’t be watching the debate…though we’re currently in earshot of TLJ loudly guffawing, probably because, as Jeff Foutch reported, when Hillary said it was a good thing Trump wasn’t in charge of our laws, The Donald retorted, “Because you’d be in jail!”
Note how the MSM Liberal mouthpieces seek to change the subject!
And the incomparable Stilton Jarlsberg emailed to inform us the world’s greatest self-proclaimed dealmaker, real estate magnate and p*ssy-grabber has thus far “gotten in some pretty good shots while managing to sound slightly less idiotic than usual”. In other words, The Donald has managed to exceed the lowest possible expectations. Thank Heaven for small blessings.
Frankly, while Trump’s voice grates on us almost as much as The Obamao’s, Clinton’s is even more painful. And since we wouldn’t vote for Hillary if our life depended upon it, what’s the point of tuning in?!? Seriously, when the choice is between the blowhard vulgarian and the criminally-negligent, bribe-seeking serial liar with the predatory rapist husband, there’s no question who we support.
Oh,…and did we mention she’ll likely get to make THREE life-time appointments to the SCOTUS? If that particular prospect doesn’t cause the #NeverTrumpers to pull their heads out of their collective kiesters, nothing will!
Now, here’s The Gouge!
First up, writing at NRO, Ben Shapiro reminds the Trumpeteers…
“I have a close friend who was recently dating a nasty fellow. He manipulated her emotionally; he drove a wedge between her and her family; he badmouthed her beliefs, tearing her down to build himself up. But she continued to date him, because apparently she loved him. She didn’t love the real him, of course — that guy was a jerk. She loved the fantasy she’d created for herself.
It’s bizarre to realize that for large swaths of the Republican party, Donald Trump has become that abusive boyfriend.
We’ve now watched Trump operate for well over a year. He hasn’t changed one iota during that time. He’s always been a man who says terrible things in defense of terrible ideas, who lets his ego run roughshod over whatever shred of self-control he maintains, who cares far more about insults to his ego than about the country he seeks to lead.
But that’s not the Trump that Trump defenders see. They see someone different entirely. They see a blow-up doll they could fall in love with, so long as they’re able to convince themselves he feels real…”
Problem is, like the Dimocrats with Obamacare, Trumpeteers are so invested in their abysmal mistake they’re incapable of admitting what is, to any sentient being, an obvious error in judgement. As we noted back in March 11th edition, anyone with half a clueknew Trump not only for what he was, a boorish bully lacking in any degree of refinement, let alone self-control, but a man with more skeletons in his closet than all the med schools in the Western world combined. And it was only a matter of time before they came clattering out…courtesy of the MSM.
Still, as Hope ‘n Change so eloquently records, the Dimocrats’ double-standard is staggering:
And as we note at our Video of the Day, accessible through link #2 immediately below our Quote of the Day at the top of the page, can it be mere coincidence the Fourth Estate broke Trump’s p*ssy-grabbing commentary at the same time Hillary’s open-borders policy was made public?!?
We think not!
Not to beat a dead nag, but from where we sit, and despite not liking our options one bit, as this meme from Shannon Wood suggests, there’s really NO CHOICE WHATSOEVER!!!
Particularly when, had he understood the way things work, there’s little doubt Hillary’s greatest single accomplishment…
…would never have happened!
Meanwhile, as the WSJ‘s Kimberly Strassel details, the would-be leader of The Gang Who May NEVER Shoot Straight still can’t hit the broadside of a barn with a bazooka:
“…For Republicans, ObamaCare has proved to be a political winner. The revolt against the law in 2010, back when it was not even real enough to have failed, propelled one of the greatest GOP gains in the House and the state legislatures in history. This is not some peripheral policy question—fracking, labor law, trade. Health care is the daily concern and frustration of nearly every American voter, right up there with paying the mortgage, the grocery bill and the IRS.
Yet Mr. Trump is almost entirely, and eerily, silent on the topic. In his prepared speeches, he gives ObamaCare a rote and glancing reference, part of a promise to repeal it. Trump news releases fly daily about the Clintons’ corruption and the problems with the North American Free Trade Agreement. But there is nary a whisper about the health-care system that is melting down across the country. Where are the ads? Where is the big speech?…”
For that matter, where is Trump’s personal contribution to his own campaign; you know, from all his supposed “billions”?!?
Next up, since the MSM isn’t the only weapon in the Liberal arsenal, we present three separate reports on yet another of the Dims’ illegal aces in the election hole. First, courtesy of G. Trevor, Lifezette reports…
“This is what a cover-up of alien voting looks like. State election officials are preventing public access not only to records showing the number of non-citizens who have successfully registered to vote, but also records showing how many of them voted prior to being removed from the registration rolls,” the report states…”
Lastly, the WSJ notes the reality of the…
Election at Bernie’s
The Harrisonburg 19 may need some help getting to the polls.
It’s election season, which means Democrats are again pushing the line that voter fraud is a myth. Allow us to introduce them to the 19 dead registered voters in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Harrisonburg Registrar Debbie Logan late last week acknowledged that her office had fielded 19 fraudulent applications, submitted under the names of dead Virginians. The fraud came to light because a long-time clerk saw an application under the name ofRichard Claybrook Sr., the deceased father of a well-known local judge. The elder Claybrook died in 2014.
According to news reports, investigators have obtained a confession from Andrew Spieles, a James Madison University student working for a voter registration shop called HarrisonburgVOTES. The outfit purports to be nonpartisan, but it is run by Joe Fitzgerald, the chairman of his congressional district’s Democratic Committee, and Mr. Spieles is a member of Virginia Young Democrats.Mr. Fitzgerald told reporters that he fired Mr. Spieles after he confessed, and no charges have been filed, though officials say the investigation continues.
Any question he’s got a job waiting for him in the Clinton/Kaine Administration?!?
Democrats are already saying the dead Harrisonburg 19 are no big deal, with Virginia House Minority Leader David Toscano claiming there was no voter fraud because “they caught him” before the votes were cast. Which is like saying it wasn’t a robbery because the thief was caught carrying the TV out of the house.
Democrats push the fraud-is-a-myth theme because it furthers their political goal of portraying any ballot-security measure as racist in order to drive minority turnout. But the integrity of the ballot matters as much as access to the ballot, and every fraudulent vote cancels a legitimate one. With trust in democratic institutions already frayed, the country doesn’t need elections that are tainted by voter fraud, which is no myth.
The same thing’s happening in Indiana and across the country; and we’ve yet to hear a single story involving Republicans, either this year or any in the past.
In a related election item, writing at Best of the Web, James Taranto wonders whether Progressive propagandists masquerading as reporters know…
How Do You Spell Potato?
Sometimes you wonder(actually, we frequently wonder!) if commentators—or is that common taters—think about what they write. This is from Chris Cillizza’s roundup of debate winners on the Washington Post website:
* Mike Pence:From the very beginning, Pence was the more comfortable of the two men on the debate stage. Pence repeatedly turned to the camera when he answered questions, making clear he understood that the real audience wasn’t in the room but watching on TV. The Indiana governor was calm, cool and collected throughout—a stark contrast to the fast-talking (and seemingly nervous) [Tim] Kaine…
* Orioles vs. Blue Jays:For most of the 95 minutes or so that the debate lasted, it was borderline unwatchable. There was so much cross talk and so little actual question-answering that it felt like watching two kids throw mashed potatoes at each other.
So two kids are throwing mashed potatoes at each other, and one of them is calm, cool and collected. What’s wrong with that picture?
In another example of politically-correct Progressive-inspired insanity, we present today’s edition of the Muslim Minute, courtesy of Bill Meisen and Express.com:
“Meddling Brussels has said the British press should not report when terrorists are Muslims in a slew of demands to the Government to crack down on the media. A report from the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) found there was an increase in hate speech and racist violence in the UK from 2009 to March 2016.
Blaming the press, ECRI Chair Christian Ahlund, said: “It is no coincidence that racist violence is on the rise in the UK at the same time as we see worrying examples of intolerance and hate speech in the newspapers, online and even among politicians.”…”
Thus does up become down, black white, right left and…
…the unvarnished truth MISrepresented as intolerance and hate speech; is it any wonder common Britains voted to exit the EU?!?
“…The spat began Wednesday night on Kelly’s program, when the anchor criticized both GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and the Democratic candidate, Clinton, for avoiding tough media interviews. She said Trump “will go on Hannity and pretty much only Hannity and will not venture out to the unsafe spaces these days.”
Hannity responded on Twitter, writing “u should be mad at @HillaryClinton Clearly you support her. And @realDonaldTrump did talk to u.” When another Twitter user told Hannity he should stand by his colleagues, the host said, “Sure. When they stand by me.”
Hannity is a vocal supporter of Trump and has acknowledged giving him campaign advice.“
If Trump’s truly been taking campaign advice from Sean Hannity, a man…
…is it any wonder such The Donald and his mouthpiece…
