Seriously; no…SERIOUSLY?!? Tell us something we DIDN’T know!
“…The pushback from Iran’s chief diplomat follows a pattern of similar accusations by senior Iranian political figures after the announcement of previous agreements.
Following the signing of an interim agreement with Iran aimed at scaling back its nuclear work, Iran accused the United States of lying about details of the agreement. On Thursday evening, Zarif told reporters the latest agreement allows Iran to keep operating its nuclear program. “None of those measures” that will move to scale back Iran’s program “include closing any of our facilities,” Zarif said. “We will continue enriching; we will continue research and development.”…”
The WSJ rather pointedly, and completely accurately, terms it…
“…The general outline of the accord includes some useful limits on Iran, if it chooses to abide by them. Tehran will be allowed to operate a little more than 5,000 of its first-generation centrifuges at its Natanz facility, and only there. It will not enrich uranium above civilian-grade levels for at least 15 years, though it will retain some of its unnecessary current stockpile.
Even better, the reactor at Arak will be retooled to render it incapable of producing weapons-grade plutonium. The underground nuclear facility at Fordo will remain open but be converted into a “nuclear, physics, technology, research center,” with no fissile material present and centrifuges under monitoring by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
All this would be somewhat reassuring if the U.S. were negotiating a nuclear deal with Holland or Costa Rica—that is, a law-abiding state with no history of cheating on nuclear agreements. But that’s not Iran…”
No sh*t!!! Never in the field of human diplomacy has so much been given up by so many inexplicably driven to conclude a deal with the devil. This isn’t a negotiation, it’s a fire sale.
We’ll leave it to the Journal‘s Dan Henninger to detail…
“By the nuclear compliance standards of Barack Obama and John Kerry, North Korea was a model state—in 1992. In 1985, North Korea joined the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. In 1992 it and South Korea jointly declared the “denuclearization” of the Korean peninsula. North Korea next signed a safeguards agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency. Within months, the IAEA reported “inconsistencies” in North Korea’s nuclear program.
What follows is a quarter-century summary of arms negotiations with North Korea, based on the chronology assembled by the Arms Control Association. What happens in Lausanne doesn’t matter. No agreement is going to stop Iran.Agreements, and a lot of talk, did not stop North Korea…”
Look, here’s the reality:
The Mad Mullahs saw this anti-Semitic, West-hating, kindred spirit coming a mile away. And anyone who believes this framework is worth the paper on which it’s printed is either an uninformed idiot, or dependent upon this Administration for their livelihood.
Next up, we’re with NRO‘s Andrew McCarthy when he wonders…
“As one who was very pleased by the selection of Representative Trey Gowdy (R., S.C.) to chair the Benghazi Select Committee, I hate to seem like I’m haranguing him (see, e.g., here and here; but see also here). His investigative decisions, however, continue to be baffling.
The latest development in the Hillary Clinton e-mail saga is the disclosure by her private attorney, David Kendall, that she has deleted all e-mail from the private server on which she improperly conducted government business while she was secretary of state. (See Shannen Coffin’s latest legal analysis regarding laws potentially broken by Mrs. Clinton here.)
In light of the obvious ramifications this has for the Benghazi investigation, Fox News’s Greta Van Susteren asked Chairman Gowdy what he intended to do about it. Gowdy responded:
We’re going to have a conversation with Secretary Clinton. I would hope that it would be a transcribed interview, which is private, it protects her privacy.(He’d “hope”…”HOPE“?!? Yeah…this is what SIX YEARS of “hope” has gotten us!!!) It protects national-security interests. And it rebuts this notion that this is a political charade, which some Democrats suggest. Let’s have a private conversation about why you had your own server, why you didn’t return the records when you left the State Department. And why you decided to permanently delete them when you knew the congressional investigations were ongoing.
The Washington Examiner is now reporting that Gowdy’s committee has, in fact, “formally requested” that Mrs. Clinton appear for a private, transcribed interview — not compulsory public testimony. It is hard to say what is more disappointing: the chairman’s plan or the instincts and apparent motivation behind it…”
After all, we wouldn’t want to remind America of her performance during her last appearance:
NOT with the most important election in our lifetime fast approaching.
The only defense we can come up for Gowdy is he may be playing for time, in an effort to keep Hillary’s email scandal in the public eye as long as possible. But that may be giving a man for whom we once had enormous respect far too much credit.
Turning now to The Dissolution of Society Section, Ann Coulter, or Baberaham Lincoln as we prefer to refer to her, offers her insight into Progressive’s latest ploy to promote moral equivalency:
“…Many months, several million wasted taxpayer dollars and one cop’s career later, even Eric Holder’s Justice Department finally admitted that the whole “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” story was bunk.
After the Fukushima nuclear meltdown in Japan four years ago, Bill Nye “the (self-proclaimed) Science Guy” gravely informed CNN viewers, “This is all bad and very scary. … You know, it’s nothing but danger. It’s nothing but very serious, very, very long-term problems.” Wired magazine recently reported that, in the four years since the disaster, more than 96 percent of food, fish and agriculture throughout Fukushima has contained less than one-sixth of the radiation permitted in food imported to Europe.
Lena Dunham, star of HBO’s “Girls,” was forced to retract her autobiographical account of having been raped by a campus conservative named “Barry.” The alleged rapist of Columbia University’s mattress girl finally released her alluring texts to him, and now we all know she was a desperate, spurned lover, not a rape victim.
Sabrina Rubin Erdely’s much-celebrated Rolling Stone story about a fraternity gang-rape at the University of Virginia turned out to be based on one poor, sad girl seeking attention by creating a fake online boyfriend and fantasizing her own gang-rape.
And this week, we all have to be in a panic about Indiana passing a measure that enshrines a basic principle of Anglo-Saxon jurisprudence, because of the utterly apocryphal assertion that the law will be used to turn gays away from restaurants. The idea that generally applicable laws may, in certain circumstances, be required to accommodate individual religious beliefs has been around for centuries. That’s why priests don’t have to reveal penitents’ confessions to the police and Quakers don’t have to join the military…”
Are we the only one intrigued by the fact radical homosexual activists would patronize the shops of practicing Christians in the first place?!? Yeah…and Rosa Parks was just an every-day bus rider.
In a related item, PJ Media gives us a look at how the MSM aids The Left in selling their amoral agenda:
Indiana’s Memories Pizza Reportedly Becomes First Business To Reject Catering Gay Weddings
Memories Pizza is a nine-year-old shop in downtown Walkerton, Indiana, just a few blocks from John Glenn High School. It’s owned by an openly-Christian couple, the O’Connors, who decorate their shop with mementos of their faith in Christ. So how does a small business in a small town wind up making headlines around the world as the new avatar of Christian bigotry?
Perhaps, you say, they brought this upon themselves, seeking out publicity for their strict biblical views. Eh…no.Some cursory internet forensics shows how it happened…or rather, how it was made to happen.
…In Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, a manifesto of political power, Rule No. 12 says, in part:
“Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)”
The Left doesn’t care who gets hurt, so long as they get what they want. They’re willing — no, they’re eager — to sacrifice a small-town business, and it’s owners.
Lest you think I’m being too dramatic. Late Wednesday, word comes that Jess Dooley, a female coach at Concord High School 45 minutes away in Elkhart, has been suspended after tweeting:
“Who’s going to Walkerton, IN to burn down #memoriespizza w me?”
The Left:
Feel the love!
Here’s the juice: as we’ve noted before, this isn’t about gay rights, or a noble purpose of any kind. Like Moochie’s school lunch initiative, it’s Progressive thought and behavioral control personified.
Since we’re on the subject of Liberalism’s assault on the First Amendment, this just in:
“The White House on Tuesday rebuked Republican critics of its contribution to the United Nations climate pact, saying the criticisms are “hard to take seriously.”
Asked about congressional Republicans who want the Senate to have to approve an agreement, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said that politicians who are skeptical of the science surrounding climate change are not qualified to judge the matter.
“These are individuals who — many of whom, at least, deny the fact that climate change even exists, so I’m not sure they would be in the best position to decide whether or not a climate-change agreement is one that is worth entering into,” Earnest told reporters Tuesday…”
Which is of course an outright lie! No one, least of all Jim Inhofe, argues climate change doesn’t occur or exist; only that human activityis driving it at all, let alone at a precipitous pace inevitably resulting in global annihilation.
Which brings us to the Lighter Side…
Finally, in another sordid story stripped from the pages of The Crime Blotter…
“An Atlanta area teenager who said a heart transplant two years ago gave him a second chance at life died this week when he lost control of the car he was driving while fleeing police, according to police records.
Anthony Tremayne Stokes, 17, died Tuesday when the car he was driving hit a bank sign, a Roswell police officer wrote in an incident report. The officer noticed the black Honda Accord fit the description of a vehicle involved in a home invasion a short time earlier, the report says. The officer tried to pull the car over, but the driver refused to stop, the report said.
Anthony Tremayne Stokes: the Early Years
The car had also been reported stolen in a carjacking in nearby Dunwoody earlier Tuesday, the report says…”
“Tremayne”, “Trayvon”…what’s the difference?!?It’s obvious Whitey was OUT for the brotha!
For all you Tremayne-wannabes out there, when the cops order you to stop, think of it as a hard-and-fast rule…
…rather than optional. ‘Cuz as Chris Rock has so eloquently noted…
