It’s Friday, September 2nd, 2022.  And as we were waiting to catch our connecting flight from O’Hare to BWI during our return from Montana Thursday evening, we were able to compose a very truncated edition of The Gouge!

(1). Since we mentioned banning cows, there’s evidence Progressives plan on doing just that, as FOX informs, us Montana is challenging a federal plan to take tens of thousands of acres of prime livestock grazing land out of production and devote it to bison.

(2). Charlie Cooke reveals the hidden authority to enact everything Republicans want.

(3). In a related example of fraudulent Progressive overreach, how does a judge…ANY judge…overturn a SCOTUS decision?!?

(4). Since we’re on the subject of SCOTUS, NRO’s Dominic Pino considers the question on every inquiring Conservative mind: Does ANYONE have standing to sue over the Biden clown car’s flatly absurd legal argument behind student loan forgiveness?  Though it’s not currently clear, the answer may well be “no”.

(5). In a twofer, Andy McCarthy first explains why former president Trump is likely to be charged with obstruction of justice and causing false statements to be made to investigators.  He then follows up with the insightful observation The Donald always manages to bring out the worst in his enemies even as he undermines himself.

(6). In a related item, it’s Charlie Cooke’s assessment whether Trump’s belief he won in 2020 and will soon be reinstated as president is genuine or not, it makes him unfit for office.

(7). Ya gotta love the Fed chair’s speech on nagging inflation tanking the stock market at the same time 46*, back on vacation in Delaware after saddling taxpayers with an additional $500 billion in debt, says the economy’s “looking good“!
