Friday past, we had to file an application for a grading permit at the county office complex, and despite the County Executive recently lifting his second unnecessary mask mandate, everyone entering the building was required to be masked.  Worse still, the young lady who met with me declined to shake hands despite having a bottle of hand sanitizer on her desk, blaming it on “this COVID thing”.

P.S. To enter the county offices, rather than showing your driver’s license as previously required, you now must sign in on a touch screen and provide not only your name but your email and cell number.  Seriously…for what purpose?!?  Guess presenting a photo ID was determined to be racist.

Biden Says He’s ‘Convinced’ Putin Has Made Decision to Invade Ukraine

“We have reason to believe the Russian forces are planning to and intend to attack Ukraine in the coming week—in the coming days,” Biden said. “We believe they will target Ukraine’s capital of Kyiv, a city of 2.8 million innocent people.”

Wow: He believes Putin will target Ukraine’s capital.  Now THAT’s what we call insightful!  Yeah,…this from the guy who still wears a mask outside, gets medical advice from his wife the doctor and believes he got more votes than any presidential candidate in history.

There Is No ‘Ukraine Crisis’

There is a Russia crisis — and more specifically a Putin crisis.

This is no exaggeration; this is reality, and it’s happening right now.”

(3). Back in January, The Donald provided the National Archives some 15 boxes of material, including classified government records, from his Mar-a-Lago residence, “raising questions about his compliance with federal law requiring official records to be turned over when a president leaves office.”

Unlike Sandy Burglar, Trump has not been accused of stealing classified documents from the Archives by stuffing them not only in his briefcase and socks, but down his pants, then shredding them!  For that the former Clinton National Security Advisor was assessed a mere $50,000 fine.

(4). In a very insightful piece at NRO, Dan McLaughlin records the all-too predictable reaction of 1619 fabulist Nikole Hannah-Jones to fact-based refutation of her fable, noting if an author wants to be taken seriously, they must be willing to defend their work and engage their critics in the way actual scholars have done for decades, concluding, “Readers can, and should, consider her refusal to do so as a mark against the credibility of the work to which she has devoted the past three years.”
