It’s Friday, December 8th, 2017…but before we begin, here’s Brent Bozell on Brian Ross and other MSM double-standards:

When alarmists in the entirely separate field of sea level measurement make precisely the same sort of dishonest adjustments in order to accord with the same global warming narrative, it starts to look like a conspiracy.“
In other words, given the history of deliberate deception, obvious obfuscation and premeditated misrepresentationwhich has characterized the anthropogenic climate change lobbyalmost since its inception, what on earth could possibly lead anyone with even an ounce of common sense to believe anything the Environazis subsequently had to say?!?

Which got Steve and us to thinking, a scary thought in and of itself.
Consider Andy McCarthy’s recommendation of restraint concering the motives of Peter Strzok. Or, immediately after the allegations against Roy Moore first surfaced, Jonah Goldberg’s guaranty the assiduous and exacting standards of the source assured the accuracy of The Washington Post‘s reporting.
Perhaps,…a long time ago…in a galaxy far, far away.
But we’re in the here…and it’s now. Forget about Slick Willy staining Monica’s infamous blue dress: we’re all now fully aware JFK cavorted in the taxpayer-funded White House pool with naked female assistants, not to mention everyone’s completely cognizant of LBJ’s crude racism and misogynism. We’re also up to speed on the lengths to which the MSM went to cover up any honest coverage of the same.
Fast forward to Brian Flood’s report at FOX News regarding prior industry knowledge of Matt Lauer’s sexual deviancy:
We somehow find ourselves less than sympathetic to Katie Couric’s purported colonic plight after learning she willing endured this from Lauer:
“But the most cringeworthy comments, in hindsight, were made by Lauer himself, who spoke at the end of the roast. The “Today” star alluded to sex with two former colleagues, Couric and Curry. “Let me just say that I saw that colon a lot before the rest of you saw it,” Lauer said in an anal sex joke about Couric (who famously underwent a colonoscopy on air).”
The point is, McCarthy is probably right: Barack Hussein Obama undoubtedly did determine Hillary was never going to be charged with what were unquestionably criminal violations of U.S. law, owing to the fact he himself had been aware of said violations and in fact knowingly communicated with his then-Secretary of State via her manifestly illegal private email server.
But just as members of the U.S. Military are never bound to obey illegal orders, Jim Comey and Peter Strzok were under no legal obligation whatsoever to deliberately mischaracterize the nature of Hillary’s offenses…let alone grant her aides blanket immunity, allow them to destroy their computer records, fail to place any of them under oath prior to questioning…or write an exoneration of Bill’s better-half weeks before any questioning of the parties involved actually took place.
No, Comey, Strzok (Stavridis!) and the rest of the Deep State Dimocrats infesting the FBI (and the Military!), who put political partisanship above commitment to the Constitution, did that on their own. Yet Andy McCarthy, a man we deeply admire and respect, suggests we give Strzok, and by direct inference, Comey and Mueller, the benefit of the doubt.
And Goldberg, as brilliant a Conservative thinker as we know, seriously suggests some ephemeral integrity of The Washington Post known only within the confines of the Beltway puts the paper beyond the possibility of partisanship?!?
This, in the wake of the lies peddled by Walter Duranty, Uncle Walter, Dan Rather, Brian Williams, and Brian Ross, is akin to Slick Willy defending his perjury on the basis of what the meaning of “is” is…and the MSM subsequently upholding his semantic shield.
Please: the Dims get to sacrifice Conyers for whatever spawn of Satan the denizens of Detroit see fit to subject themselves to for the next 50 years…Minnesota replaces the least-funny comedian since Gary Shandling with an even less-humorous female…and the residents of Alabama are expected to offer up Roy Moore.
All because the incredibly august body which had no problem seating Robert Byrd after he served as Kleagle and Exalted Cyclops of the Ku Klux Klan, or Teddy Kennedy after he drowned a blond in a pond, professes a problem with 40-year-old, unsubstantiated charges Roy Moore “allegedly” touched an over-sexed (by her own admission) Alabama lass through her underwear.
You’ll forgive us if we’re not buying it; unless you expect us to believe, solely on the word of the MSM, the Republican-proposed tax cuts represent “Armageddon”, recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel somehow upends a non-existent Mideast “peace process”, and $11 trillion in additional debt under Obama miraculously stimulated the American economy.
Two questions: first, why hasn’t Zarate been charged with a federal violation of Steinle’s civil rights, along the lines of the three freedom riders slain in Mississippi in the ’60’s? Second, why hasn’t someone in San Francisco law enforcement ended this charade with two behind Jose’s ear?!?

Baltimore…Charlottesville…Detroit…Chicago; as long as Libtards are in control, WTF’s the difference?!?
“America’s news reporters couldn’t get enough of last summer’s Charlottesville mayhem when the story tangentially involved Donald Trump. But when a special report commissioned by the city this week finally gives us something approaching a detailed story of what happened that awful day, the media couldn’t care less.

The white supremacists may be crazy but not the kind of crazy as to welcome being manhandled by a mob 40 times their size. And force majeure is a pretty good legal argument.

Which brings us back to the focus of the Friday edition: if neither the politicians nor the news organizations whose job it is to keep the politicians honest will relate the truth, what on earth would or should incline the public to trust either one of them?!?
